Health

We encourage and support high standards of personal health and believe a healthy workforce leads to a more productive workforce. At Wowo Gap healthy lifestyles are encouraged and workers are treated onsite for local health issues such as intestinal worms and malaria.

The overall health policy has been designed with the assistance and guidance of Health Consultants 100 and Dr Susan Onbetee.

A healthy lifestyle is supported by providing a balanced diet to workers on site with fresh fruit and vegetables sourced weekly from surrounding villages as part of our buy local procurement policy.

Based on the lack of Government heath services, Resource Mining Corporation operates health clinics in the main villages associated with the Wowo Gap tenement.

The national government provides medicines which Resource Mining Corporation distributes with health professionals and our community relations officers.

Without the support of the company, the local villages would not receive any form of health support.

As part of our corporate social responsibility policy, Resource Mining Corporation provides a range of health services to local communities.

This ranges from health surveys to the provision of direct and indirect health services.
