Resource Mining Corporation (ASX:RMI) is a guest on the land at Wowo Gap. As a company we have a corporate social responsibility to ensure we act within the law and are sensitive to the customs, culture and cultural norms of the indigenous population.
In an infrastructure poor area of the country, we have been and are able to provide employment, health and training opportunities for the local village residents.
As a company we actively subscribe to the notion of “mutual development” and over the past 18 months have actively sought to develop and improve our social involvement.
Experience has demonstrated the economic and productivity benefits this increased engagement with our local villagers has brought.
The current model of community activity and involvement will continue to be enhanced into the future.
