Mr Mackenzie holds degree in Mining Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. His thirty year career in the resources sector has involved the assessment, development and operation of mineral projects both within Australia and overseas in coal, base metals, precious metals, ferrous metals and industrial minerals.
Mr Mackenzie’s career has included direct operating, senior project management and executive roles with responsibility for business development, project and business unit management of various Australian and offshore ventures for companies including the Rio Tinto, New Hope, Dominion Mining and General Gold Resources groups.
In 2002, Mr Mackenzie became principal of a specialised consultancy providing comprehensive, independent technical and commercial advice to boards, banks and investors involved in the development of mineral projects worldwide. He has sat on several ASX listed company boards, and currently manages resource development projects in Western Australia for private foreign investors.
